The Cardigan Imperative

Team, I want to take a moment to unpack something mission-critical. Going forward, we need to stand up a cross-functional, gender-agnostic, age-fluid sub-committee to lean into the cardigan space.

Customs brokers are crying out for a brown wool cardigan, with sleeves. Yes, sleeves. We've workshopped the sleeveless model and, frankly, it's not landing with stakeholders on cold Monday mornings at the container terminal. And we're not stopping there. We're taking a leather-patch-first approach to the elbow piece, because that's where the friction happens. Every broker leaning on a desk arguing about Rule 3(b) is creating elbow-wear velocity we simply can't ignore.

The sub-committee will be fully inclusive. No gender, no age, no tenure bias. Just a diverse group of passionate knitwear thought leaders, empowered to circle back, double-click on the button strategy and socialise a colour palette that is brown. Non-negotiably brown. We're open to blue-sky thinking, but the outcome is brown.

Key deliverables: a scoping paper, a cardigan roadmap, and a Tier 1 risk register for pilling. We'll take it offline and close the loop by Q3, pending a review of the review.

At the end of the day, it's not just a cardigan. It's a wearable compliance framework. Let's knit it into the DNA.
